2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport 2.0T

This week at Royal Auto we drove the 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport 2.0T. When I first began to drive, the gas and break seemed to be sensitive; however, it was very easy to get used to. I really enjoyed the seating in the front. They were super comfortable, they felt almost as if they were hugging you when you sat back into them. I wasn’t a huge fan of the steering wheel. It was oddly shaped, and it didn’t fall through my hands smoothly when I was to make sharper turns. When I was able to experience the back of the vehicle, my first thought was there is so much room! You wouldn’t expect there to be that much room by just looking at it from the outside. I would love to ride in this car as a backseat passenger because there is enough room to kick back, relax and enjoy the ride. All in all, the interior of the car was all black and very appealing to me. The buttons were very simplistic, and I felt complacent as a driver and as a passenger. I would recommend this car to all ages especially to college students.

Although driving the 2015 Hyundai Sonata is no 2015 Chrysler 200 I actually really enjoyed driving this car. I liked how smooth the steering wheel was. It was loose and easy to turn. However, I enjoyed being a passenger much more in the Chrysler 200. I could sit in that car all day. This car was still comfortable; it was just very basic and standard feel. I also am not a big fan of a ton of buttons and options that the 200 had. The Sonata was very simple and basic. I don’t like that when I am driving I get distracted and can’t figure out how to change the radio station. I like simple. I also really liked the feature in the Sonata that allows the mirror to blink and beep at you if you are trying to move into a lane and someone is in your blind spot! All in all I really liked the Sonata as a simple car!

One of the main things I loved about the 2015 Hyundai Sonata was that it was more simplistic than the other cars we had driven in the past. Although it had a touchscreen, the functions used most often had dials or buttons, making it easier to operate while driving. The backseat was quite spacious, it made me think that road trips wouldn’t sound like a bad idea because you would have ample leg room, giving you the perfect opportunity to curl up. Unlike the other cars, I was not worried that when a third person sat in the backseat we would all be squished.  A feature I knew would come in handy was the car sensor; whenever there is a car beside you and you’re trying to merge into another lane, an icon on your side mirror lights up along with a beeping noise, it’s nice to have that extra reassurance while driving. While sitting in the passenger seat, a feeling of complete comfort rushes over you. The combined effect of the head rest that perfectly cradles your head, and the spacious leg room induces relaxation. One aspect of the car I wasn’t a fan of was the metal pedals, which made it feel too much like a race car.   A feature that I absolutely loved was that the trunk could be opened by simply standing behind it for 15 seconds with the key in your hand. I know this will come in handy down the road after grocery shopping.  Overall I really enjoyed this car, the functions were easy to use, but had all these really nifty features of a new car that made it appealing.

From back to front the 2015 Hyundai Sonata includes various unique attachments. From the beginning I loved the car considering it was a sport vehicle. Although very nice, the color red in the car made the outside appearance look ugly. Once you opened the door you got notice the steering wheel contains a flat surface on the bottom to enhance the sport look. Unlike the Chrysler 200 this vehicle contained a smaller navigation screen and bigger, easier to understand, buttons. The overall space in the car made it very comfortable for everyone. I have been noticing a lot of the cars lately contain about 8 cup holders which in my opinion comes in handy more than usual. On both backs of the front seats there was a pouch, which could be useful for holding any kind of material. One of the cooler parts of the car would have to be the trunk. Take the keys near the rear and wait 3 seconds for the trunk to pop open itself. Very useful when carrying lots of items and very spacious trunk size to hold everything you need. Sitting as a passenger anywhere you receive lots of room for your legs. Overall the vehicle contains very admirable features and gives the driver a fun feel for sport.
